Is it me, or does Link Between Worlds have a pretty terrible 'sound test'?

Seriously, I'm trying to listen to/record all the songs the bard in Kakariko Village's Milk Bar plays, and it's almost impossible!

For one thing, you can't tell what song he's going to play at any one time, meaning that you could be throwing tons of rupees just for the one in a million chance you'll get a decent song pop up.

They also seem to be fairly random, with some songs appearing more than others and absolutely all of them appearing in no particular order. So you can go in, pay some rupees, hear the Hyrule Castle and Dark World themes...

And then find that on your next 'visit', you get the Fairy Fountain and Ravio's Shop themes instead!

The songs are also significantly different from the versions played in the main game:

compared to (bard version below):

Add how they're not labelled, how some songs he plays are actually unique remixes of songs from other games in the Zelda series and how it obviously costs money to listen any music, and I have to wonder why the hell Nintendo did this.

What, is a Mario & Luigi Dream Team style menu with song names such a bad idea? Why do Nintendo make it so difficult to even listen to any of this game's music? They're not even offering a CD as far as I can tell, so there's no financial incentive behind this.

Anyone agree?

I would never have considered that bard as a sound test. Just as one of many features in the game.

Yeah, it was more like a neat little extra...thing.

The phonograph in Minish Cap, now THAT is a sound test.
